Create the score codes

A tomato delivery is not simply accepted or rejected. Some deliveries are good, some are usable but need watching, and some are turned away. A score code represents one of those outcomes.

Score codes are global — they are defined once and any plan can use them. Creating them is separate from deciding when each one applies, which is configured on the plan itself.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter QC Score Codes, and then choose the related link.
  2. Select New. The QC Score Code card opens.
  3. On the General FastTab, fill in Code, Description, and Color.
  4. On the Defaults FastTab, fill in Default Check Result.
  5. Repeat for each score code.

Create the following three score codes.

CodeDescriptionColorDefault Check Result
GREENAcceptGreenPass
AMBERAccept with reservationOrangePass
REDRejectRedFail

Color is what the score looks like on the check and in the Quality Control App. There is no amber in the list, so AMBER uses Orange.

Default Check Result is carried over automatically when the score code is added to a plan, which saves setting the result on each plan score by hand. AMBER is deliberately a Pass: a delivery graded amber is accepted, and the grade records that it needs attention rather than rejecting it.

Leave Default Inspection Status blank on all three. It can be filled in later, either on the score code so every plan inherits it, or on the individual plan score.

Leave Score Icon and Blocked alone. An icon is optional decoration, and Blocked exists to retire a score code — a code cannot be deleted once a plan uses it, so blocking it keeps it out of new plans while leaving existing plans untouched.

The Create Default Score Codes action on the action bar creates a different, ready-made set — Pass, Fail, Conditional, and Pending, complete with icons. It does not produce the three codes above, so do not use it for this walkthrough. It also downloads the icon images, so the system may ask you to allow HTTP requests temporarily.
