Business Process Scenarios

Quality Control (BC)  •  Article  •  8/26/2026  •

The topics in this section describe complete business process scenarios: end-to-end walkthroughs that configure Aptean Quality Control for Food and Beverage (BC) to support a particular way of working.

The rest of this documentation is organized by feature. Each setup topic explains one page or concept, and each process topic explains one activity. A scenario takes the opposite view: it starts from a business situation, then walks through every configuration and processing step that situation requires, in the order you must perform them, beginning from a freshly installed extension.

Use a scenario when you want to:

  • Configure the extension for a known way of working without first deciding which setup pages apply to it.
  • Understand how the individual setup records — users, teams, questions, plans, triggers, and action plans — fit together to produce a working process.
  • Compare an existing configuration against a worked example.

Each scenario links to the relevant setup and process topics for field-level detail rather than repeating it, so you can follow it end to end and drill into any step that needs more explanation.

The following table lists the available scenarios.

ScenarioDescription
Walkthrough: Tomato IntakeInspect incoming tomato deliveries, from goods receipt through to acceptance, rework, or rejection of the received lot.

Scenarios are worked examples based on common industry practice. Treat the plans, questions, and tolerances they show as a starting point, and adjust them to match your own products, specifications, and operating procedures.
