Extensibility

The Quality Control App is a React-based frontend embedded in Business Central through a control add-in. Because the app renders its own interface, standard Business Central page extension and personalization techniques do not apply to it directly.

Instead, the app exposes a set of AL integration events that allow per-tenant extensions (PTEs) to inject custom data and behavior at runtime. When the app loads a screen, it calls these events to collect any customizations registered by subscribers and renders them dynamically alongside the standard interface.

All customizations are implemented entirely in AL — no JavaScript or React development is required.

Supported extensibility types

Type	Description
Custom actions	Add custom buttons and menu items to QC check, posted QC check, QC action, and posted QC action screens.
Custom columns	Add additional data columns to the QC check list, posted QC check list, QC action list, and posted QC action list tables.
Custom detail information	Add additional key-value fields to the detail view of QC checks, posted QC checks, QC actions, and posted QC actions.
