Permission sets in Business Central define what a user can access and do within the system.

Direct permission sets

Users assigned a direct permission set can perform actions on records themselves. This includes reading, creating, modifying, and deleting data within the extension.

Assign the QCONTROLRW92FDW permission set to users who work directly with quality control checks and actions.

Indirect permission sets

Users assigned an indirect permission set cannot use the extension's features directly, but other extensions or automated processes can call its objects on their behalf.

Assign the QCONTROLRWBASIC92FDW permission set to service accounts or integrations that interact with the extension programmatically.

User-defined permission sets

You can also create custom permission sets by copying and modifying an existing set. For more information, see Assign permissions to users and groups.

Assign a permission set

  2. Select the user you want to update.
  3. On the User Permission Sets FastTab, enter QCONTROLRW92FDW or QCONTROLRWBASIC92FDW in the Permission Set field.
