Quality check comments

Comments can be added to individual question lines to record additional notes or observations during an inspection.

Add comments in the Quality Control App

Each question row includes a comment icon . Select it to show a text field below the answer input where you can enter a comment. The icon changes appearance to indicate that the comment field is open. Select the icon again to hide the comment field.

When a check is opened and a line already has a saved comment, the comment field is shown automatically.

Comments save automatically when focus moves away from the text field.

If an option question is configured to require a comment for the selected value, the comment field appears automatically and cannot be hidden until the comment is filled in.

When a comment is configured directly on a quality control plan line, it appears as a read-only information note below the question. This note is not editable on the check. If the plan comment is updated after a check has been created, the updated comment does not appear on existing checks.

For example, if an inspector selects a Failed option on a question that requires a comment, the comment field appears automatically. The inspector must enter a comment before the check can be posted.

Add comments in Business Central

The Comment column on the Lines FastTab accepts a comment for any question line. Enter the comment directly in the field on the question line.
