View production outputs
To view the expected output for a given production order, select the Output Tile on the Production Order Overview screen.
The Outputs screen consists of two main sections. The left side of the screen displays a list of all output items associated with this routing operation. The tile for each item includes:
- Item No.
- Planned Qty.
- Registered Qty.
- Bin Code
The remainder of the screen displays a list of all previous registrations on this operation for the selected item.
A routing operation can include co-products or other production family members. However, if other production order lines have their own routing, they appear as separate production orders that you can access from the Production Order List page.
List of Registrations
The table showing a list of all previous registrations shows different columns based on which routing operation is being completed.
For intermediate operations, registration of output does not generate item ledger entries—just capacity ledger entries. The columns available on these routing operations include:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Date Time | The date and time the registration was submitted. |
| UoM | The output item's unit of measure. The header of this column is the item's unit of measure. |
| CAW UoM | The output item's catch weight unit of measure, if applicable. The header of this column is the catch weight unit of measure. |
| Actions | Shows possible actions users can take regarding the output line. For more information, see Output Line Actions. |
For the final operation on a routing, the columns shown include:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Date Time | The date and time the registration was submitted. |
| UoM | The output item's unit of measure. The header of this column is the item's unit of measure. |
| CAW UoM | The output item's catch weight unit of measure, if applicable. The header of this column is the catch weight unit of measure. |
| Lot No. | The registered lot number. |
| License Plate No. | The registered license plate number. |
| Expiration Date | The expiration date of the registered lot number. |
| Actions | Shows possible actions users can take regarding the output line. For more information, see Output Line Actions. |
Select an item for output by clicking or tapping on the desired item in the left-hand list of items. Then, click the + Output button on the Action Bar. This opens the Register Output screen.
If the production order status has not been updated to Production on the Production Order Overview screen, attempting to register output yields an error requesting the status of the production order be updated. For more information, see Production Order Overview
Output Line Actions
Output line actions are actions which can be triggered for individual output registrations. These actions are represented by an icon in the Actions column.
Correct Output
The Correct Output action—represented by a pencil icon—opens the Correct Output screen. Use this action to reduce individual registration quantities.
Print Label
The Print Label action—represented by a printer icon—sends a request to Business Central to print a label for the selected registration. For more information, see Print Labels.
Labels cannot be printed for non-last routing lines.
Action Bar
The action bar is the top area of the Outputs screen and contains actions applicable to the entire screen.
Header and Back Button
The left-hand side of the action bar includes the back button
, the production order number, and the description of the main output item. Selecting the back button returns you to the previous screen.
If you reached the Outputs screen by selecting the Output Tile on the Production Order Overview screen, selecting the back button returns you to that screen. If you reached the Outputs screen by scanning a production order number on the Production Order List screen's search bar, the back button returns you to the list screen.
