View work centers/machine centers
After opening the Shop Floor Production page, the first screen visible is the Work Center List screen.
Work Centers
The Work Center List screen displays the names of all work centers accessible to the logged-in user. A work center is accessible to the logged-in user if two conditions are true:
- The Show in Shop Floor toggle on the Work Center Card page is turned on.
- A Shop Floor User record is defined for the logged-in user and the work center.

The following fields are shown on the Work Center List screen:

| Name | Specifies the name of the work center. |
| Status | Specifies whether the work center is actively in production. |
| Orders | Specifies the number of production orders visible in Shop Floor Production for the work center. |
| QC | Specifies the number of quality control checks defined for the work center. Displayed as an orange badge when one or more checks exist. |
To enable shop floor production registration for a work center, turn on the Work Center Status toggle for that work center. Production orders cannot be started in Shop Floor until the work center has been enabled.
This updates the Active field on the Work Center Card page.
If the Aptean Quality Control for Food and Beverage (BC) extension is installed and quality control triggers are configured, toggling the work center status on or off may automatically create quality control checks. Whether checks are created on subsequent starts and stops depends on the Allow Multiple Open Checks setting on the quality control trigger.
You will receive an error if you attempt to start a production order without turning on the Work Center Status toggle, or if you attempt to turn off the toggle while a production order is active on the work center.
An orange badge is displayed in the QC field if any quality checks are defined for the work center. Selecting the badge navigates you to the Quality Control App page to view and complete these quality checks.
When the Return to SFP After QC Post toggle is turned on in Shop Floor Production Setup, posting a Quality Check successfully from this badge closes the Quality Control App automatically and returns to this screen, instead of opening the Posted Quality Check page.
To continue to the next step in Shop Floor Production, select a work center. This will navigate you to either the Machine Center List screen (if machine centers are defined for the work center) or the Production Order List screen.
Machine Centers
The Machine Center List screen is displayed if the selected work center has one or more machine centers associated with it.
To view the production orders associated with a machine center, select it.
