What's new in version 2603.0.0.0
Features
With the features added in this major release of the Aptean Trade Management extension,
-
Manage deferred costs - Configure deferred cost codes and use the Deferred Cost Worksheet to assign general ledger and item ledger entries to harvest orders as deferred cost entries, ready for allocation. For more information, see Set up deferred costs and Manage the deferred cost worksheet.
-
Allocate deferred costs to harvest order receipts - Distribute deferred cost entries across posted purchase receipt lines using the Surface and Weight or Weight allocation method. Choose between direct allocation for immediate processing, or use the Deferred Cost Allocation Details page to review, adjust, and selectively post the proposed distribution before committing. For more information, see Allocate deferred costs and Integration with Aptean Commodity Harvest Planning.
-
View and manage deferred cost entries - Review all deferred cost entries and their allocation status from the Deferred Cost Entries page. Drill down on allocated amounts to open the underlying posted trade lines, and cancel individual or multiple lines in a single step to reverse an allocation and make the amount available for re-allocation. For more information, see View deferred cost entries.
-
Multi-select cancel on posted document trade lines - Cancel actions on posted document trade lines and trade costs pages now support multi-row selection. Select multiple lines and run the action once to cancel all valid lines in a single step. For more information, see Cancel trade plans on posted documents.
-
Calculate periodic costs for production output - Calculate and manage periodic costs for production output lots. The system calculates daily storage costs for purchase receipt lots and traces those costs back through production activities to their individual receipts using a factor-based allocation, including through multiple production levels when a finished goods output lot is consumed as a raw material in a subsequent production order. For more information, see Periodic cost for production output and Periodic cost for recursive production.
-
Exclude items from the periodic cost factor calculation - Exclude specific items from the periodic cost factor calculation while still tracking their own storage costs, using the Exclude Consumption from Periodic Cost Factor toggle on the Item Card page. For more information, see Exclude consumption from periodic cost factor calculation.
Integrations
The Aptean Trade Management extension has been integrated with the Aptean Commodity Harvest Planning extension. For more information, see Integrations.
Enhancements/Modifications
With this release of the Aptean Trade Management extension,
-
trade accruals for non-inventory and service items are processed correctly through purchase invoice posting. Non-inventory and service items do not generate an item ledger entry, which previously caused an error when posting the Purchase Invoice page for G/L Account-based trade plans and allowed invalid trade lines to be created for Item Charge-based trade plans. Trade accrual entries for non-inventory items are now created and settled directly against the G/L entry so accruals brought in using the Get Accrual Entries action post and reverse correctly, and non-inventoriable items are excluded from document trade line creation when the trade plan uses an Item Charge.
-
the following events have been added to the TradeDocumentHandler34FDW and PurchDocumentTradeLines34FDW codeunits to enable partners to incorporate custom logic before document trade rate lines are created for sales and purchase lines, respectively, with the Sales Line/Purchase Line record and the IsHandled parameter both passed by reference:
- OnBeforeCreateDocTradeRateLinesForSalesLine
- OnBeforeCreateDocTradeRateLinesForPurchaseLine
The previous OnBeforeCreateDocumentTradeRateLinesForSalesLine and OnBeforeCreateDocumentTradeRateLinesForPurchaseLine events are now obsolete, since their IsHandled parameter was not passed by reference and any change made in a subscriber never took effect.
