Trade Management  •  Release Note  •  10/21/2026  •

Features

With the feature added in this release of the Aptean Trade Management extension, cost corrections can now be added or cancelled on posted return receipts and posted sales credit memo lines, in addition to the posted sales shipments and posted sales invoices already supported. For more information, see Add trade plans to posted sales return receipts, Add trade plans to posted sales credit memos, and Manage cost correction.

The Detailed Deferred Cost Entries page lists each movement posted against a deferred cost entry. Posting Type is Initial Entry, Allocation, or Cancellation. The page is read-only. It opens from the Show Detailed Entries action on the Deferred Cost Entries page, or from Search. For more information, see View deferred cost entries.

Enhancements/Modifications

With this release of the Aptean Trade Management extension,

  • a trade plan can now be set to the Deferred Cost trade plan type, which restricts the Trade Plan Card page to only the fields relevant to deferred cost allocation. For more information, see Set up deferred costs.

  • an unallocated deferred cost entry can now be cancelled directly, and an entry is automatically adjusted when the purchase receipt it was allocated against is undone. For more information, see View deferred cost entries.

  • a Balancing Account No. can now be stored on each deferred cost code. The lookup lists G/L accounts that are not blocked and that have Direct Posting selected. That account is credited when an entry for the code is assigned, and debited when the entry is cancelled. For more information, see Set up deferred costs.

  • allocating a deferred cost to a purchase receipt now creates a detailed deferred cost entry with posting type Allocation and a negative amount. Cancelling that posted purchase document trade line creates a second allocation entry for the positive amount, so the purchase allocated amount returns to the balance held before that allocation. For more information, see Allocate deferred costs.

  • cancelling an unallocated deferred cost entry posts a reversing general journal line and a detailed deferred cost entry with posting type Cancellation, so the direct cost applied account and the balancing account return to the balance held before the entry was assigned. For more information, see View deferred cost entries.

  • a harvest order or harvest order line can no longer be deleted while a deferred cost entry — allocated or not — still references it; the entry must be cancelled first. For more information, see Integration with Aptean Commodity Harvest Planning.

  • the Allocate action on the Deferred Cost Allocation page now processes every line that has an amount to allocate, instead of only the line the cursor is on, and reports how many lines were allocated and how many were skipped.

Resolved issues

The following issues have been resolved in this release.

IDDescription
380397The system fails to report the correct number of skipped lines when cancelling multiple Posted Purchase Document Trade Lines in one action.
384617The system applies the VAT settings of the trade partner or G/L account to the accrual journal line when posting trade accruals to the general ledger, even when the Copy VAT Setup to Jnl. Lines field is turned off on the journal batch selected in the Accrual Posting Batch field on the Trade Management Setup page, so a VAT-related error is raised for a setup that the batch is meant to ignore. The system now applies these settings only when the Copy VAT Setup to Jnl. Lines field is turned on for the journal batch.
389049The system fails to attribute G/L-posted trade costs to the correct item ledger entry for a transfer order whose purchase receipt accrual is posted to a G/L account, resulting in incorrect cost amounts in trade cost settlements.
389340The system fails to roll back posted header trade costs when posting a document fails due to a line trade plan setup error, resulting in the costs being posted twice after the issue is fixed and the document is reposted.
389920, 392121The system fails to classify the cost of a trade plan posted to a G/L account as Actual when the Accrual Type field value is Standard Cost or Standard Revenue.
392531When you issue a trade statement with the Retain Source Dimensions toggle turned on, the system combines the accrued amounts of source documents that have the same dimension set, such as posted sales shipments and a posted return receipt, into a single Charge (Item) line on the sales or purchase document that is created. The system then spreads the combined amount over the item charge assignments of all those source documents, so a charge can be assigned to a document it does not belong to, for example a shipment that was fully reversed by a return, and the resulting lines differ from those created with the toggle turned off. The system now creates a separate Charge (Item) line, with its own item charge assignment, for each source document, in the same way as when the Retain Source Dimensions toggle is turned off. The dimensions of the source document line are still retained on each line.
393032An error stating that the cost and/or discount is frozen occurs when you select Update Documents on the Verify Rates on Documents page for a document trade line with a blank Price Rule field value (accrual only), if the price or cost of the related sales or purchase line is frozen, even though the same line can be recalculated with the Recalculate Accrual Trade Lines action. The system now updates these document trade lines in the same way as the Recalculate Accrual Trade Lines action, even when the price or cost is frozen. For document trade lines with a price rule specified, the error continues to occur until the price or cost is unfrozen.
396009The system fails to allocate every line with an amount to allocate when running the Allocate action on the Deferred Cost Allocation page; only the line under the cursor is processed.
