Cancel allocated trade lines
Cancelling a posted trade line reverses the allocation and returns the amount to the entry as available for re-allocation.
- On the Deferred Cost Entries page, select the entry that contains the allocation to reverse.
- Select the value in the Purch. Allocated Amount (LCY) or
Sales Allocated Amount (LCY) field.
The corresponding posted document trade lines page opens, filtered to the selected entry. - Select one or more lines to cancel. To select multiple lines, hold Ctrl and select each line.
- Select Cancel Document Trade Line.
A reversal entry is created for each selected line. The Purch. Allocated Amount (LCY) or Sales Allocated Amount (LCY) on the parent entry decreases by the cancelled amount, and Remaining Amount to Allocate increases by the same amount.
Lines that are already cancelled, that originate from a cancellation entry, or that are of the discount price rule type are skipped automatically. When a selection includes both valid and ineligible lines, the system cancels all valid lines and displays a message stating how many lines were cancelled and how many were skipped.
The multi-select Cancel Document Trade Line action is also available when opening posted document trade lines directly from a posted purchase receipt or sales invoice. Multiple lines can be cancelled in a single step.
