Set up list profiles
List profiles control which columns appear on Shop Floor Production list pages, their order, and how they are displayed, without requiring a code deployment to change them. An administrator creates named profiles, defines the column layout for each supported page, and assigns each profile to individual users or to role centers.
Prerequisites
- The administrator has permission to the Shop Floor Production setup pages.
Create a list profile
-
Select the Search icon, enter Shop Floor Production List Profiles, and choose the related link.
The Shop Floor Production List Profiles page opens. -
Select a new line and enter information in the following fields:
Field Description Code Enter a unique code for the profile. Name Enter a descriptive name for the profile. Description Enter further detail about the profile. Default Profile Turn on to apply this profile when no user or role assignment matches. Only one profile can be the default. -
Select the Profile Pages action to open the Shop Floor Production List Profile Pages page, then add a line for each list page you want this profile to apply to and select a Display Mode:
Option Description Grouped Rows are grouped automatically and user column sorting is turned off. Sortable Row grouping is turned off and users can sort on columns where sorting is turned on.
Configure columns
-
On the Shop Floor Production List Profile Pages page, select the Columns action.
The Shop Floor Production List Profile Columns page opens. -
Select the Populate Defaults action to insert one line per built-in column for the selected page, each with visibility turned on, default width, and no compound pairing. Existing column lines are not overwritten. To create compound cells, set the Secondary Column ID and Tertiary Column ID fields manually after populating.
-
Adjust the column lines as needed. The following per-column settings are available:
Field Description Column Caption Enter an override for the column header label. Leave blank to use the default column name. Visible Turn on to show the column. Display Order Enter the left-to-right display position of the column. Pinned Select None, Left, or Right to pin the column to an edge of the list. Column Width Enter the column width in pixels. Enter 0 to size the column automatically. Searchable Turn on to include the column in the global search bar. Filterable Turn on to show an inline filter input beneath the column header. Sortable Turn on to allow sorting on the column in Sortable display mode. Text Style Select the text style for the primary value. Text Size Select the text size for the primary value. Secondary Column ID Select a second column to render the cell as a stacked two-line compound cell. Secondary Text Style Select the text style for the secondary value in a two-line compound cell. Secondary Text Size Select the text size for the secondary value in a two-line compound cell. Tertiary Column ID Select a third column to render the cell as a three-line compound cell. A secondary column must be set first. Tertiary Text Style Select the text style for the tertiary value in a three-line compound cell. Tertiary Text Size Select the text size for the tertiary value in a three-line compound cell.
Text Style options
| Option | Weight | Color | When to use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | Regular | Default | Standard body text. Use for most values. |
| Bold | Bold | Default | Draws attention without changing color. Use for identifiers or quantities that users scan for. |
| Muted | Regular | Dimmed | De-emphasizes supporting information. Use for secondary or tertiary lines in a compound cell. |
| Emphasis | Bold | Brand teal | Highlights the most important value in a cell. Use sparingly. |
Text Size options
| Option | Size | When to use |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | 16 px | Default size. Use for primary values. |
| Small | 14 px | Compact size. Suited to secondary or tertiary lines in a compound cell. |
| Large | 19 px | Prominent size. Use to anchor a row with a key value such as a production order number. |
The Column ID, Secondary Column ID, and Tertiary Column ID fields must each reference a different column. No two levels can share the same column identifier.
Assign a profile
-
On the Shop Floor Production List Profiles page, select the Assignments action to open the Shop Floor Production List Profile Assignments page.
-
Add a line for each user or role center the profile applies to.
At runtime the profile is resolved in priority order: user assignment, then role assignment, then the default profile, then the coded fallback.
For example, an administrator creates a profile named Line Supervisor, populates the default columns for the Production Order List page, turns off the columns that supervisors do not need, pins the production order number column to the left, and assigns the profile to the production supervisor role center. Supervisors who sign in with that role center then see only the configured columns, while other users continue to see the default profile.
