  • After updating the Aptean WMS app, run the Create Default Postback Fields action in the Ad Hoc Movement module to add field 58 (Bin Confirmed) as Confirmed Field No. 10 in the Postback Fields.

Features

With the features added in this release of the Aptean Warehouse Management System extension, the following capabilities have been introduced.

  • A distinct completion sound is played on the Android scanner once all pick lines have been processed and the pick is fully completed. The Play Error Sound and Play Completion Sound fields on the Main Scanner Setup page allow each sound to be enabled or disabled independently when the Use Enhanced Sounds toggle is active.

  • The system captures the scanned net weight as the put-away quantity from GS1 weight barcodes during the Put-Away operation for weight-based items. Standard Business Central quantity validation is applied to the captured value, and a quantity can be entered manually when the barcode contains no weight Application Identifier.

  • The system captures the scanned net weight as the put-away quantity from GS1 weight barcodes during the Bulk Put-Away operation for weight-based items, applying the captured weight to each processed line. Standard Business Central quantity validation is applied to the captured value, and a quantity can be entered manually when the barcode contains no weight Application Identifier.

  • The system captures the scanned net weight as the put-away quantity from GS1 weight barcodes during the Direct Put-Away operation for weight-based items. Standard Business Central quantity validation is applied to the captured value, and a quantity can be entered manually when the barcode contains no weight Application Identifier.

  • The system validates picked quantities against GS1 weight barcodes during warehouse picking of weight-based items, using standard Business Central quantity variance checking together with the existing over-pick and under-pick settings. A quantity can be entered manually when no weight barcode is present.

  • The system captures the scanned net weight as the movement quantity from GS1 weight barcodes during bin-to-bin warehouse movements of weight-based items, updating the item ledger and bin content using standard Business Central quantity tracking. A quantity can be entered manually when no weight barcode is available.

Enhancements/Modifications

With this release of the Aptean Warehouse Management System extension, the following enhancements have been made.

  • The Sort documents first on assigned user toggle has been added to the Company Settings (WMS) page. When turned on, pick documents assigned to the current user are shown first in the Pick module's document list on the scanner, sorted by document number, followed by unassigned pick documents. This setting does not affect other modules on the scanner.

  • The posting performance of ad hoc license plate movements has been significantly improved, reducing processing time during warehouse activity registration and posting.

  • The Print Label(s) action has been added to the Posted Whse. Receipt, Posted Whse. Receipt Subform, Posted Whse. Shipment, and Posted Whse. Shipment Subform pages, allowing you to print labels for a posted warehouse receipt or warehouse shipment, even if the labels were not printed before posting. This requires the Aptean Labeling extension. For more information, see Print labels from posted documents.

UI/UX changes

The Sort documents first on assigned user toggle has been added to the Company Settings (WMS) page.

Resolved issues

The following issues have been resolved in this release.
