What's new in version 2602.1.0.0
The minimum version required for the Aptean WMS app to operate with this release is 1.16.332059.0.
Features
With the feature added in this release of the Aptean Warehouse Management System extension, the Print label(s) action on the Warehouse Shipment page follows an additional confirmation flow when the customer on a shipment line requires mandatory License Plate Number (LPN) label printing. The flow applies only when the LPN Mandatory Customer Prints field value is turned on in the Adv. Warehouse Setup page. When the Document Status field value is not Completely Picked, a confirmation asks whether to print the license plate labels already picked; declining skips printing for that warehouse shipment. When any license plate on the shipment already has the Shipment Printed field value set, a second confirmation asks whether to reprint those labels or print only the labels not yet printed. Each printed license plate has its Shipment Printed field value set after printing.
This feature is delivered together with the Aptean Beverage Advanced Warehouse Management extension, Drink-IT Edition, which provides the underlying LPN Mandatory Customer Prints setup field, its enable-time validation, and the Shipment Printed tracking field that this release's print flow consumes.
Enhancements/Modifications
With this release of the Aptean Warehouse Management System extension,
-
the guidance on the Warehouse Put-Away and Whse Bulk Put-Away modules for a location with the Directed Put-away and Pick field value enabled now follows the bin already assigned on the Warehouse Put-Away line in Business Central. Previously, the Create Put-away action calculated this bin from the put-away template on the location card, but the scanner guidance could still redirect the user to the item's Default bin or Preferred bin instead of the directed bin. Guidance now falls back to the Default bin, then the Preferred bin, only when no bin is assigned on the put-away line. The guidance for a location without the Directed Put-away and Pick field value enabled remains unchanged.
-
item unit of measure data is protected against changes that would invalidate the Put-Away Guidance. When an item has a Put-Away Template Group or Put-Away Check Group field value assigned on the Item Card page, the Item Unit of Measure line matching the Default Pallet UoM field value on the Advanced Warehouse Setup page can no longer be renamed, deleted, or have its Weight or Qty. per Unit of Measure field values changed; each attempt raises an error naming the affected field and the default pallet unit of measure. Assigning a Put-Away Template Group or Put-Away Check Group field value on an item that has no Item Unit of Measure line matching the Default Pallet UoM field value is blocked with an error. Additionally, changing the Default Pallet UoM field value on the Advanced Warehouse Setup page now shows a confirmation before applying the change whenever at least one item already has a Put-Away Template Group or Put-Away Check Group field value assigned, warning that the change can cause errors in put-away on the scanner.
-
registering a warehouse pick line from a bin with the Auto FEFO Pick field value set to All Content is blocked with an error when the bin holds multiple lot numbers of the picked item while the warehouse shipment's LPN Shipment Restriction field value is Single Item and Lot No., preventing that pick from mixing lot numbers on the destination license plate. When a warehouse pick is created from a shipment whose LPN Shipment Restriction field value differs from the LPN Customer Shipment Restriction field value on the Adv. Warehouse Setup page, a comment naming the applicable restriction is added to the warehouse pick; this comment is shown as the pick's document comment on the scanner.
This enhancement is delivered together with the Aptean Beverage Advanced Warehouse Management extension, Drink-IT Edition, which provides the LPN Shipment Restriction field, its setup and Customer-level restriction fields, the generic item/lot mixing checks, and the pick comment for the Acceptable License Plates per Customer feature.
Resolved issues
The following issues have been resolved in this release.
| ID | Description |
|---|---|
| 382931 | The system fails to apply the unit of measure conversion when scanning a non-base unit of measure barcode in the Ad Hoc Movement module. The raw scanned quantity is booked in the base unit of measure instead of being converted using the scanned item reference's unit of measure (for example, 1 PCS instead of 6,000 PCS for a PALLET reference). |
| 382943 | The system fails to apply the unit of measure conversion when scanning a non-base unit of measure barcode in the Warehouse Pick module. The raw scanned quantity is booked in the base unit of measure instead of being converted using the scanned item reference's unit of measure (for example, 1 PCS instead of 6,000 PCS for a PALLET reference). The same incorrect value is applied to the Required Qty. field value. |
| 353562 | The system fails to register items against the correct purchase order in the Returnable Items module when two or more open purchase orders share the same first 11 characters of their document number (for example, IOR26-000001 and IOR26-000002). The internal selection key used a fixed-length prefix that truncated longer purchase order numbers, so the system registered the item against the wrong purchase order, resolved to a non-existent document, or blocked registration with an error message. |
| 381192 | The system fails to populate the Expiration Date field value in the Warehouse Entries when registering a Quick Pick pick line for a pick-from bin with the Auto FEFO Pick field value set to All Content and the bin's associated bin group has the Quick Pick Confirmation field value enabled. The resulting Registered Pick Lines and Warehouse Entries carry the Lot No. field value but leave the Expiration Date field value blank. |
| 330630 | An error occurs when enabling the Put-Away Template Guidance field value on the WMS Config page for a location that has only one of the Warehouse Put Away or Whse Bulk Put-Away modules installed. The validation setup incorrectly tried to register the guidance check for both modules regardless of which one was installed, and referenced the wrong module when registering the Whse Bulk Put-Away check. The system now only registers the check for the modules that are actually installed for the location, and blocks the field value with a clear error only when neither module is installed. |
| 384923 | The system fails to set the Posting Handler field value to Register Returnable Items when the Returnable Items module is added to a location, leaving the field value blank and preventing returns from being registered on the scanner for that location. Additionally, locations where the module was already configured with a blank Posting Handler field value are corrected automatically during the upgrade to this version. |
| 383307 | The system does not skip the license plate confirmation and warning checks in the Warehouse Receipt module when receiving an item that is not License Plate tracked at the SKU level. Because no license plate is scanned for such items, the checks incorrectly match unrelated license plate entries and trigger a confirmation message to add the item to a license plate, or a warning that a license plate is already used on another document. |
| 382593 | The system does not block scanning and posting a license plate against a stockkeeping unit (SKU) that overrides an item's License Plate Tracking Code field value to blank, even though the item itself is License Plate tracked. The Warehouse Receipt and Direct Put-away modules accept a manually scanned SSCC and post it as a license plate on a SKU that is not set up for license plate tracking on that location or variant. |
| 387713 | The system fails to create Detailed Warehouse Entries and update the Inventory Overview when changing the Type field value of a license plate from the Ad Hoc Movement, LPN Info, or Shipment Load List scanner modules. The change was saved without running field validation, so the item's inventory remained split under the original and new types and the Inventory Overview showed duplicate lines for the license plate. |
| 382005 | An error occurs when scanning an empty bin in the Warehouse Put-Away, Whse Bulk Put-Away, or Ad Hoc Movement module for an item that is not License Plate tracked, reporting that too many license plates are placed on the bin in its bin group. The put-away guidance bin capacity and bin group checks ran for every item, so items without a License Plate Tracking Code were validated against license plate capacity rules that do not apply to them. The checks are now skipped for items that are not License Plate tracked. |
| 386341 | The system fails to print labels from the Posted Warehouse Receipts page and Posted Warehouse Shipments page when the related license plate tracking entries contain multiple different License Plates. |
| 381517 | The system does not skip the GS1 variant code (AI20) check when resolving a scanned item in the Warehouse Receipt module, even when the item's barcode does not carry a GS1 variant code or the module is not configured to use it, so the item is not fully resolved and the operator is prompted for the lot number only. |
