Print labels from posted documents

Warehouse Management System  •  Article  •  7/22/2026  •

You can print labels for a warehouse receipt or warehouse shipment after it has been posted, using the Print Label(s) action on the Posted Whse. Receipt and Posted Whse. Shipment pages. This allows you to print labels even if they were not printed before the document was posted, or to print additional copies afterward. This requires the Aptean Labeling extension.

The labels are generated based on the same label selection rules and setup used elsewhere for label printing. The system reconstructs the lot, serial, and license plate information for the posted lines from the underlying warehouse and item tracking entries, so the printed labels reflect the tracking information that was actually posted.

  1. Select the Search icon, enter Posted Warehouse Receipts or Posted Warehouse Shipments, and then choose the related link.
The Posted Whse. Receipts or Posted Whse. Shipments list page opens.
  2. Select the posted document, or select multiple documents in the list.
  3. On the action bar, select Print Label(s).
The system generates labels for all lines on the selected document or documents.
  1. Select the Search icon, enter Posted Warehouse Receipts or Posted Warehouse Shipments, and then choose the related link.
  2. Select the posted document.
The Posted Whse. Receipt or Posted Whse. Shipment page opens.
  3. On the Lines FastTab, select the line, or select multiple lines.
  4. On the action bar, select Print Label(s).
Alternatively, use the shortcut key Alt+Shift+L.
The system generates labels for the selected line or lines only.

If the Print Dialog toggle is turned on in the Label Setup, a print dialog is shown before printing, allowing you to change the printer or label quantity. Otherwise, the label(s) are printed immediately.

A license plate that spans multiple posted lines is printed as a single label. Lines that are not license plate tracked are grouped by item, variant, unit of measure, and lot or serial number.
