What's new in version 2602.0.0.0
Features
With the features added in this release of the Aptean Mesh extension,
-
You can move inventory between two different warehouse locations directly from the Ad-Hoc Movement menu where transfer order is not required. The system posts a single item reclassification journal entry with the Entry Type field value set to Transfer and updates inventory at both locations immediately. For more information, see Ad-hoc movement.
-
You can view sales return orders and open warehouse receipts in the Inbound tab, and purchase return orders and open warehouse picks in the Outbound tab on the Home screen, with assignment-based sorting and document type filters. For more information, see Home screen.
-
The Mesh app generates a distinct alert sound when a scan is rejected or a workflow action fails. You can control this behaviour using the Error Sounds toggle in the Aptean Mesh app settings. For more information, see Audible feedback for scans and errors.
-
You can select the unit of measure when entering quantity in Ad-Hoc Movement and Inventory Adjustment. The available quantity display updates to reflect the selected unit of measure. For more information, see Ad-hoc movement and Inventory adjustment.
-
You can scan product barcodes (GS1, UPC, EAN) in Ad-Hoc Movement, Inventory Adjustment, and Bin Contents to auto-populate both item and variant when the barcode uniquely identifies them in the item reference table. For more information, see Ad-hoc movement, Inventory adjustment, and Bin contents.
-
You can scan the Mesh configuration QR code during initial setup on non-Zebra Android devices using the device camera by enabling the Enable Camera Scanner toggle in local app settings. For more information, see Getting started with Mesh Standard Bundle.
-
Date fields across all workflows default to text input — you can type a value directly without opening the calendar picker. Press the Enter button to confirm the entered date. If the date was already captured from a GS1 barcode earlier in the workflow, the date step is skipped entirely. The calendar picker remains available throughout for manual selection.
-
The Standard bundle version has been incremented from Version 1 to Version 2 with enhanced mobile page configurations. Bundle installation is non-destructive — reinstalling the Standard bundle does not regress the status of an existing bundle. For more information, see Mobile app bundle.
Alongside that, a few client-side fixes: the Language Code on Mobile User Assignment lists only Mesh-supported locales; the bundle lookup on that page correctly identifies a user's active bundle; and on the device Settings screen, Reset is correctly scoped (Zebra sections unaffected), Save navigates back properly, and scanner feedback is visible on all device types.
