Features

With the features added in this release of the Aptean Lot Management extension, you can:

  • Configure Mass Balance Analysis settings on the Lot Management Setup page to define the Mass Balance Nos., Default Tolerance %, and Report ID used for analysis, reconciliation, and reporting. For more information, see Lot Management Setup.

  • Create, manage, and monitor Mass Balance Analysis records from the Mass Balance Analysis List page to reconcile inventory movements and track material traceability. For more information, see Mass Balance Analysis List.

  • View opening inventory balances for selected items, variants, lots, and locations as of the analysis start date, analyze the inventory available before the analysis period using summarized ledger data, and drill down to the underlying ledger entries with the option to export the results. For more information, see Starting Balance.

  • View purchase receipt transactions for selected items, variants, lots, and locations within the analysis period, analyze inventory received from vendors that contributes to the Total Available inventory calculation, and review receipt details with drill-down access to the underlying ledger entries for traceability.   • View production output transactions for selected items, variants, lots, and locations within the analysis period, analyze finished and semi-finished goods that contribute to the Total Available inventory calculation, and review production output details with drill-down access to the underlying ledger entries for traceability.   • View transfer receipt transactions for selected items, variants, lots, and locations within the analysis period, analyze inventory received through transfer orders that contributes to the Total Available inventory calculation, and review transfer receipt details with drill-down access to the underlying ledger entries for traceability.   • View positive inventory adjustment transactions for selected items, variants, lots, and locations within the analysis period, analyze inventory increases from positive adjustments that contribute to the Total Available inventory calculation, and review adjustment details with drill-down access to the underlying ledger entries for traceability.   • View aggregated inventory availability for selected items, variants, lots, and locations within the analysis period, analyze the Total Available inventory calculated from Starting Balance, Purchase Receipts, Production Outputs, Transfer Receipts, and Positive Adjustments, and drill down to the underlying ledger entries for traceability.   • View multi-level production chain traceability for selected items, variants, lots, and production orders, trace raw materials through semi-finished and finished goods using proportional allocation calculations, and analyze inventory, consumption, sales, transfer, and adjustment allocations across the production chain.   • View sales shipment transactions for selected items, variants, lots, and locations within the analysis period, analyze inventory shipped to customers, including direct raw material sales, and review shipment details while maintaining purchased-item traceability throughout the supply chain.   • View transfer shipment transactions for selected items, variants, lots, and locations within the analysis period, analyze inventory transferred out that reduces Total Available inventory, and review transfer shipment details with drill-down access to the underlying ledger entries.   • View negative inventory adjustment transactions for selected items, variants, lots, and locations within the analysis period, analyze inventory reductions from negative adjustments and their impact on inventory reconciliation, and review adjustment details with drill-down access to the underlying ledger entries.   • View closing inventory balances for selected items, variants, lots, and locations as of the analysis end date, analyze summarized inventory quantities to determine the ending inventory position, and drill down to the underlying ledger entries with the option to export the results.   • Compare calculated inventory balances against actual system inventory balances using the Reconciliation FastTab, analyze inventory variances against configured tolerance percentages, and identify discrepancies through visual status indicators and detailed variance calculations.   • Run the Mass Balance Analysis Cleanup report to remove obsolete Mass Balance Analysis records and related detail entries, apply filters to delete specific analysis records, and maintain database performance by reducing historical analysis data and storage consumption For more information, see Mass Balance Analysis Cleanup Report.
