In the Lot Increment Per field, select one of the following options to control how lot numbers are assigned when multiple lots are created within a document. This field is based on the Increment Suffix description value defined in the Element field of the Lot No. Profile page.
- Document Line: The system appends a numeric suffix to each lot number based on your configured lot number format (for example, [LotNumber]-001, [LotNumber]-002). The suffix resets and increments independently for each line, so lot numbers are unique within each line only. If a document has two lines, line 1 generates [LotNumber]-001, [LotNumber]-002, and line 2 also starts from [LotNumber]-001, [LotNumber]-002.
- Document: The system appends a numeric suffix to each lot number based on your configured lot number format, and this suffix increments continuously across all lines without resetting. If line 1 generates [LotNumber]-001 and [LotNumber]-002, line 2 continues from [LotNumber]-003, [LotNumber]-004 — ensuring every lot number across the entire document is unique.
