The Item Tracing FastTab displays the production chain and allocation flow for the selected items within the analysis period. It provides end-to-end traceability across multiple production levels, linking raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods through production orders. The FastTab shows how raw material consumption is proportionally allocated through each production stage. It also displays sales shipments and negative adjustments for semi-finished and finished goods when those transactions can be traced back to the selected raw material lot. Data is compressed into a single row per unique combination of Item No., Variant Code, Lot No., and Production Order No.

FieldDescription
DescriptionSpecifies the description of the item.
Item No.Specifies the item number participating in the production chain.
Variant CodeSpecifies the variant code associated with the item.
Lot No.Specifies the lot number being traced through the production chain.
Location CodeSpecifies the location where the inventory transaction occurred.
Production Order No.Specifies the production order associated with the item tracing record.
Weight QtySpecifies the total net weight quantity associated with the production, consumption, sales, transfer, or adjustment transaction.
Remaining Weight QtySpecifies the remaining inventory quantity after sales, transfers, negative adjustments, or subsequent consumption transactions have reduced the original produced quantity.
Consumption Allocation Weight QtySpecifies the proportionally allocated raw material consumption quantity assigned to the output quantity based on the production output allocation calculation.
Remaining Consumption Weight QtySpecifies the proportion of the original raw material consumption allocation that remains tied to the remaining inventory quantity.
Sales Allocation Weight QtySpecifies the proportion of the original raw material consumption allocation that has been consumed by sales shipments or other inventory reduction transactions.
Adjustment AllocationSpecifies the proportion of the original raw material consumption allocation that has been consumed through inventory adjustment transactions.
Transfer Shipment Allocation Weight QtySpecifies the proportional raw material weight allocated to a transfer shipment of the output item, leaving the shipping location.
Transfer Receipt Allocation Weight QtySpecifies the proportional raw material weight allocated to a transfer receipt of the output item, arriving at the receiving location.
Remaining Transfer Receipt Weight QtySpecifies the part of the transfer receipt allocation that is still tied to remaining inventory of the output item at the receiving location.
Sales Return Allocation Weight QtySpecifies the proportional raw material weight allocated to a sales return receipt of the output item, returning to the receiving location.
Remaining Sales Return Allocation Weight QtySpecifies the part of the sales return allocation that is still tied to remaining inventory of the output item at the receiving location.
Doc No.Specifies the document number associated with the transaction.
Posting DateSpecifies the date on which the transaction was posted.

The Item Tracing sub-page supports multi-level production chain traversal, proportional consumption allocation, co-product processing, unit-of-measure conversions, drill-down to related ledger entries, and export functionality for reporting purposes. It automatically recalculates remaining quantities and allocations as inventory is consumed, transferred, adjusted, or sold throughout the production chain.
