Enhancements/Modifications

With this release of the Aptean Process Manufacturing extension,

  • The scanner validation for production inventory movements created using the Create Consolidated Production Movement page has been enhanced to correctly determine the available inventory in the source bin. The system now considers the combined available quantity across eligible license plates, including inventory with different expiration dates. This ensures that production inventory movements complete successfully when sufficient inventory is available and prevents incorrect errors.

  • You can turn on the Pick + Backward Flushing On Lot Number toggle in Process Manufacturing Setup page to automatically assign lot numbers and license plate numbers, when applicable, for lot-tracked production components that use the Pick + Backward flushing method. The system applies this during output posting for operations that use routing link codes and when you finish the production order. The lot assignment follows the same rules as the existing backflush-on-lot functionality for Backward components, including FEFO/FIFO selection, skipping blocked or expired lots, respecting existing partial item tracking assignments, and using the bin on the production order component line.

  • The system supports automatic lot attribute inheritance for co-product output lots and unplanned output lots on released production orders. When a lot number is assigned to a co-product or unplanned output line, the system uses the consumed component lot tracking entries to identify inheritable lot attribute values and copies them to the output lot. This eliminates the need for manual lot attribute entry on co-product and unplanned output lots. For more information, see Integration with Aptean Advanced Attributes.
