With the features added in this release of the Aptean Formulation Management extension,

You can associate a customer and optionally a contact person with each formulation through the Customer Information FastTab on the Formulation Card page, with automatic population of the Customer No. and Contact No. fields from CRM data when a project is linked. You can configure a placeholder item for formulation quoting on the Formulation Setup page using the Pending Formulation Item No. field in the Quoting Configuration group, which serves as a placeholder in sales quotes for formulations that do not yet have an assigned production item. For more information, see Configure formulation quoting defaults.

You can create sales quotes directly from certified formulations using the Create Sales Quote action on the Formulation Card or Project Card page, with a dialog that collects the Quantity field, Unit of Measure field, and pricing while displaying calculated cost and markup suggestions. You can refresh an existing formulation-based sales quote using the Refresh from Formulation action on the Sales Quote page when an item is assigned to the formulation, replacing the placeholder item with the actual production item and prompting to update pricing based on the new item. The system validates the quote-to-order conversion on the Sales Quote page and blocks the operation when the sales quote line still uses the configured placeholder item, displaying a clear error message that guides the user to assign an actual item to the formulation and use the Refresh from Formulation action before retrying. For more information, see Create a sales quote from a formulation.

The system now displays an informational message on the Formulation Card page when changing the status of a certified formulation version, alerting users to the number of open sales quotes created based on the affected version so they can review and update quotes as needed. For more information, see Manage formulation versions.
UI/UX changes
The following UI/UX changes have been made in this release.
- The Customer Information FastTab has been added to the Formulation Card page.
- The Quoting Configuration group with the Pending Formulation Item No. field has been added to the Formulation Setup page.
- The Create Sales Quote action has been added to the Formulation Card page.
- The Create Sales Quote action has been added to the Project Card page.
- The Refresh from Formulation action has been added to the Sales Quote page.
- An informational notification message has been added to the formulation version status change workflow on the Formulation Card page.
