Configure formulation quoting defaults
The Formulation Setup page allows you to configure a placeholder item for formulation quoting. The pending formulation item number serves as a placeholder in sales quotes for formulations that do not yet have an assigned production item.
To configure formulation quoting defaults, follow these steps:

Select the Search icon
, enter Formulation Setup, and then choose the related link.The Formulation Setup page opens.

In the Quoting Configuration group, in the Default Pricing Markup % field, enter the default markup percentage to apply to formulation cost calculations.

In the Pending Formulation Item No. field, select the item to use as a placeholder in sales quotes for formulations that do not yet have an assigned production item.
The pending formulation item number must be a valid item in the system. This item is used temporarily in sales quote lines until an actual production item is assigned to the formulation.
