Unplanned move from Item Info

Unplanned move from the Bins tab of the Item Info screen

On the Bins tab of the Item Info screen, you can initiate an unplanned move directly from a selected bin line without navigating to the Move screen. The system pre-fills the source fields from the selected bin line.

  1. Open the Item Info screen and select the Bins tab.
  2. Select the bin line that you want to move inventory from.

  3. Select the Move button at the bottom of the screen.

    The Unplanned Move popup opens. The Source section shows the location, bin, item, and lot from the selected bin line.

  4. In the Destination Location field, select the location to move the inventory to. The dropdown lists the locations assigned to the warehouse employee and is pre-selected to the source location.

  5. In the Destination Bin field, enter or select the destination bin. The field shows available bins for the selected location.
  6. In the Qty. field, enter the quantity to move. The field is pre-filled with the quantity on the selected bin line.
  7. In the Unit of Measure field, select the unit of measure.
  8. Select Move to complete the move. The popup closes and the Bins tab refreshes to show the updated inventory.

The Qty. and Unit of Measure fields are hidden for license plate items in the popup screen.

Partial license plate move from the Bins tab of the Item Info screen

On the Bins tab of the Item Info screen, you can initiate a partial license plate move from a bin line that contains a license plate. Use this to move a specific item and lot quantity from one license plate to another.

  1. Open the Item Info screen and select the Bins tab.
  2. Select the bin line that contains the license plate you want to partially move.

  3. Select the Partial LP Move button at the bottom of the screen.

    The Partial LP Move popup opens. The Source section shows the license plate number, item, lot, quantity, and unit of measure from the selected bin line.

  4. In the Destination License Plate No. field, enter the existing license plate number or a new license plate number based on the New License Plate No. Pattern defined on the Mobile Setup page.

    You can select the "+" icon in the To License Plate field to generate a new license plate from the pick license plate number series in License Plating Setup page.

  5. In the Destination Location field, select the destination location.

  6. In the Destination Bin field, enter or select the destination bin.
  7. In the Quantity field, enter the quantity to move.
  8. In the Unit of Measure field, select the unit of measure.
  9. In the Shipping Container field, enter or select the shipping container for the destination license plate.
  10. Select Move to complete the partial LP move. The popup closes and the Bins tab refreshes.

If you enter an existing license plate number that already has content, the system fills the Destination Location, Destination Bin, and Shipping Container fields from the license plate header and locks those fields. If the license plate is empty, the fields remain editable.

The Shipping Container field is pre-filled from the Default Shipping Container for Partial LP Move setting on the Mobile Setup page. A shipping container is required when creating a new license plate.
