Mobile user assignment

You receive the Production bundle by default when you sign in to the mobile app. You can assign a different bundle to specific users, such as developers or testers, so they use a Dev or Test bundle without affecting other users.

Assign a user to a bundle

1. Select the Search icon , enter Mobile User Assignments, and then choose the related link.

   The Mobile User Assignments page opens.

2. Select New.

3. In the User ID field, select the username.

4. In the App Bundle Code field, select the bundle to assign to this user.

   The App Bundle Version field displays the version of the assigned bundle automatically.

5. On next login, the user receives this bundle instead of the Production bundle.

You can only be assigned to one bundle at a time. To reassign a user, remove the existing assignment first, then add a new one.

Remove a user assignment

1. Select the Search icon , enter Mobile User Assignments, and then choose the related link.

   The Mobile User Assignments page opens.

2. Select the user's row and then select Delete.

The user returns to the Production bundle on their next login. Remove all test assignments when validation is complete so users receive the standard Production experience.

How bundle selection works

When a user logs in, Mesh selects their bundle in this order:

1. If the user has an explicit bundle assignment, that bundle is returned regardless of its status.
2. If there is no assignment, the Production bundle is returned.
3. If no Production bundle exists, the app returns an error.
