The Mobile Setup page stores the configuration settings for the Aptean Mesh mobile app, including authentication credentials, journal templates, labeling, and device options.

To configure the Mobile Setup page, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Mobile Setup, and then choose the related link.

    The Mobile Setup page opens.

  2. Enter the required information in the following fields:

    FieldDescription
Tenant IDSpecifies the Azure AD tenant GUID for your Business Central environment. This value is available in the Azure Portal \> Azure Active Directory \> Properties.
Client IDEnter the client GUID from the Azure AD App Registration created for Mesh.
API EndpointSpecifies the BCRPC API endpoint URL for mobile app configuration. Use this URL in the mobile app settings.
Telemetry Connection StringEnter the Application Insights connection string. This field is optional.
Enable Request LoggingTurn on this toggle only when diagnosing mobile connectivity issues. It logs every RPC request and response in the Mobile Request Log page. The system automatically deletes the entries after two days. Each log entry includes the request and response timestamps, active bundle, service code, RPC method, full request and response JSON, and any error or call stack. Filters can be used to narrow results by service, request timestamp, or errors to identify failed requests.
Enable Camera ScannerSpecifies whether the camera-based barcode scanner is available on the mobile client. When turned on, a floating camera button appears on barcode input steps, allowing workers to scan barcodes using the device camera in addition to the hardware scanner.
App Locale CodeSpecifies the company-wide locale used for date and number formatting on the mobile client. For example, set this to NLD for Dutch formatting or ENU for US English formatting. This setting applies to all users unless overridden by a per-user language assignment.
Movement Jnl. Template NameSpecifies the default item journal template used when posting Ad-Hoc Movement transactions. The system posts Ad-Hoc Movements through the Item Reclassification Journal using this template. This field is required before Ad-Hoc Movements can be performed from the mobile client.
Adjustment Jnl. Template NameSpecifies the default item journal template used when posting Inventory Adjustment transactions. The system posts adjustments through the Item Journal using this template. This field is required before Adjustments can be performed from the mobile client.
Auto-Print LabelsSpecifies whether a label is printed automatically after a warehouse receipt line is posted. Set this field to Yes to activate automatic label printing.
Label ProviderSpecifies the labeling solution used to print labels after warehouse receipt posting. This field is enabled only when Auto-Print Labels is turned on. The default provider is Aptean Labeling for Food and Beverage.
  • If you must keep entries beyond two days, export them to Excel before they are deleted. Turn off the Enable Request Logging toggle after troubleshooting because it increases database write activity.
  • Setting up the Movement Jnl. Template Name and Adjustment Jnl. Template Name fields is required before Ad-Hoc Movements and Adjustments can be performed from the mobile client.

Generate the onboarding QR code

The Mobile Setup page displays a QR code FactBox. The QR code encodes the tenant ID, client ID, API endpoint, and telemetry connection string. This enables you to scan the code in the Aptean Mesh mobile app to configure your device, with no manual data entry required.
