Features

With the features added in this release of the Aptean Shop Floor Production (BC) extension,

• The system prevents from automatically focusing on the Search Bar when the Production Order List page opens.

• You can register component consumption by scanning GS1-compliant barcodes that automatically populate the Item No., Lot No., and Quantity field values.

• You can configure reports appear in the shop floor production print menu using Business Central standard report selections.

• You can view values in the Quality Control Check count tile in shop floor production by work center, ensuring shop floor users only see quality checks relevant to their selected work center.

• You can configure quality control triggers to generate production order start-up checks only when starting production, preventing duplicate checks when resuming from breaks.

• The system prevents unauthorized users from editing or deleting previously registered consumption and output entries, with configuration options at both global and user levels.

• The Show Finished Orders toggle on the Shop Floor Production page only displays production orders finished in shop floor production.

• The OnBeforeSetDefaultShippingContainer integration event has been added to the SFPBCGetFormElements14FDW codeunit to set a default value for the Shipping Container field in output registration.

• You can enter, modify, and delete production order comments during shop floor production. For more information, see Production order overview.

• You can view the number of quality checks associated only with work centers (not with production orders) on the Work Center List page and select the count badge to open the Quality Control App page to view the related details.

• The system automatically displays work instructions when only one instruction is defined for a production order, eliminating the extra selection step. For more information, see View work instructions in shop floor production.

• You can register consumption of non-inventory items in shop floor production. For more information, see Registration of input.

Enhancements/Modifications

With this release of the Aptean Shop Floor Production (BC) extension, the Aptean Shop Floor Production PowerApps will no longer be supported. The PowerApp can still be used, but Aptean will no longer support new features, and the stability of the PowerApp can no longer be guaranteed. Accordingly, the following changes have been made:

• New companies using or installing shop floor production have the Quality Control Extension field set to Quality Control BC on the Shop Floor Production Setup page. Existing companies are not affected.
• New companies using or installing shop floor production have the Enable SFP in BC toggle on the Shop Floor Production Setup page turned on. Existing companies are not affected.

• Legacy notifications requiring the installation of other Aptean extensions have been removed.

Integrations

The Aptean Shop Floor Production (BC) extension has been integrated with the Aptean Standard Measurements extension. For more information, see Integrations.

UI/UX changes

The following UI/UX changes have been made in this release.

• The Quality Control FastTab has been added to Shop Floor Production Setup page, and the following fields have been moved to this FastTab:
  • Quality Control Extension
  • Max Recurring Quality Checks
  • Max Recurring Quality Checks - QCA
• The License Plate Consumption Mode field has been added to the Work Center Card page.
• The Default GS1 Quantity field has been added to the Shop Floor Production Setup page.
• The Disable Registration Correction field has been added to the Shop Floor Production Setup and Shop Floor Users pages.
• The Limit Quality Check Count by Work Center toggle has been added to the Shop Floor Production Setup page.
• The Disable Auto Focus on Search Bar toggle has been added to the Shop Floor Production Setup page.
• The Report Selection option has been added to the Default Report Selection field on the Shop Floor Production Setup page.
• The Shop Floor Production option has been added to the Usage field on the Report Selections Production Order page.
• The Expect GS1 option has been added to the License Plate Consumption Mode field on the Shop Floor Production Setup page.

• The +GS1 button has been added on the Input page associated with the Shop Floor Production page.

  This button is visible only when the License Plate Consumption Mode field value is set to Expect GS1 Shop Floor Production Setup page.

• The Add New Comment button has been added to the Production Order page associated with the Shop Floor Production page.

• The Edit and Delete buttons have been added for each comment listed on the Production Order page associated with the Shop Floor Production page.
• The QC column has been added to the Work Center List page associated with the Shop Floor Production page.

Resolved issues

The following issues have been resolved in this release.
