Shop floor production registration entries
Production registration entries are intermediary records that the system creates before posting to ledger entries. They serve as a staging step between Shop Floor Production activity and the final ledger entries in Business Central.
Consumption and output registration entries
When consumption or output registrations are posted from Shop Floor Production, the system creates a temporary production registration entry before converting it into an item ledger entry. These temporary entries are removed upon a successful or failed posting attempt, so they are not visible under normal circumstances.
Time
When time entries are posted, the system first converts them into production registration entries with the entry type Time. These production registration entries are then posted as capacity ledger entries. Unlike consumption and output entries, production registration entries of type Time remain visible until they are posted as capacity.
For more information on viewing and creating time entries, see Shop Floor Production Time Entries.
For more information on posting time entries as capacity entries, see Post Time Entries.
If the Post Time Shop Floor toggle is enabled on the Shop Floor Production Setup page, a released production order cannot be changed to Finished while unposted time entries exist.

Actions
Change Status Processed
The Change Status Processed action allows you to manually change the processing status of one or more selected entries. This is useful for managing entries that are in an error state or that should be skipped.
For example, you can change the status from Error to Skip Processing to prevent the system from retrying a problematic entry, or from Skip Processing to Not Processed to allow the system to reprocess it.
