Integration with Aptean Inspection Status

When the Aptean Sublot Management extension is used in conjunction with the Aptean Inspection Status extension, the system streamlines inspection status handling throughout the sublot lifecycle.

During sublot creation, the system automatically assigns an inspection status based on a defined priority. It first uses the Default Sublot Inspection Status Code field value on the Sublot Management Setup page, if configured. If no default is available, it inherits the inspection status from the original lot. If neither exists, the field is left empty for manual selection.

At the same time, if the Inspection Tags feature is enabled through the Feature Control page, the system automatically creates inspection tags and populates them with the inspection status code, priority, and reason code defined during sublot creation. The active inspection tag with the highest priority determines the sublot's inspection status. This removes the need for manual tag creation and status updates.

You can also create sublots from lots that have blocking inspection statuses such as On Hold, Quarantine, or Blocked. The sublot creation page opens with pre-filled values from the parent lot, and you can assign a different inspection status to the sublot independently, while the parent lot retains its original blocked status.

Before allowing restoration, the system validates the sublot's inspection status. If the status is Blocked, restoration is not permitted. When restoration is successful, any quality hold flags on the sublot are cleared, and the restored inventory adopts the inspection status of the original lot.

If the Allow Sublots for Blocked Lots toggle on the Set up sublot management page is turned on, restoration is permitted when the inspection status is Blocked.
