Features

With the features added in this release of the Aptean Simple Factory Wizard extension

  • You can plan and allocate production for lot-tracked items based on three new planning dimensions: Lot Production Date, Expected Customer, and Third Party (Service Provisioning Owner). These dimensions flow end-to-end from demand forecast entries through suggested demand lines, the simple planning worksheet, and into released production orders. For more information, see Manage suggested demand lines and Use the simple planning worksheet.

  • You can define split templates to control how suggested demand lines are automatically divided on the Calculate Production Plan page. Each template includes one or more split dimension lines. When you apply a template, the system generates a separate suggested demand line for each unique combination of configured dimension values, eliminating the need for manual splitting.

    The following split dimensions are available:

    • Lot Production Date
    • Expected Customer No.
    • Location
    • Third Party No.

  • You can define the lot production date by linking a lot attribute using the Simple Factory Wizard Setup page. For more information, see Set up simple factory wizard.

  • Updates have been made to replace the Label Date field with the Lot Production Date field on the Simple Planning Worksheet page. However, the Lot Production Date field is visible only when the Aptean Expiration Management extension is installed.

    The earlier compatibility changes to the following are also included in this release to ensure compatibility with Business Central, version 28:

    • Item availability type methods
    • SetProdOrderComponent method

UI/UX changes

The following UI/UX changes have been made to this release.

  • The Lot Production Date, Expected Customer, and Third-Party No. fields have been added to the Simple Planning Worksheet page.
  • The Lot Production Date field has been added to the Simple Factory Wizard Setup page.
  • The Split Template option has been added to the Calculate Production Plan page.

  • The Label Date field has been removed and replaced by the Lot Production Date field on the Simple Planning Worksheet page.

    This field is visible only when the Aptean Expiration Management extension is installed.
