Features

The Aptean Contract Management extension lets businesses manage sales contracts and apply contract-specific pricing to sales transactions.

  • With the features added in this release, the extension introduces integration events that let integrated extensions, such as the Aptean EDI extension, participate in the Contract Management pricing process — for example, allowing inbound EDI transactions to apply active sales contract prices and populate the related Contract No. and Contract Line No. fields on sales documents. To know more, see What's new in Aptean EDI, version 2603.1.0.0.

Enhancements/ Modifications

With this release of the Aptean Food & Beverage solution, a new Shipment Date option has been added to the Sales Date Range Applies-to field on the Contract Setup page. This lets you specify Shipment Date as the reference date when validating a sales document against the date range defined on a sales contract, consistent with the existing options such as Document Date, Order Date, Posting Date, Requested Delivery Date, and Promised Delivery Date.

The Date Range Applies-to validation is now consistently enforced across the following areas of Sales and Purchase Contracts:

  • When a Purchase Order or Sales Order is created using the Make Order action from a Purchase/Sales Contract, the system validates the Work Date against the contract's date range.
  • When a Purchase Order or Sales Order is released, the system validates the date specified by the Purchase/Sales Date Range Applies-to setting against the contract's date range, when the Purchase Release Date Check or Sales Release Date Check toggle is turned on.
  • When a Purchase/Sales Contract is looked up or a relevant date field is changed on a purchase or sales document, the system filters available contracts and re-validates the document against the contract's date range.

UI/UX Changes

  • The Shipment Date option has been added to the Sales Date Range Applies-to field on the Contract Setup page.
  • The Purchase Release Date Check and Sales Release Date Check fields have been added to the Contract Setup page.

Resolved issues

The following issues have been resolved in this release.

IDDescription
387781An error occurs when executing the Assign Contract action on the Sales Order page. The system incorrectly reports that the sales line quantity exceeds the remaining Contract Qty, even when the quantity entered matches the available contract quantity.
387853The system does not deduct the quantity on the linked sales order when calculating the Contract Qty. Remaining value shown in the Contract No. lookup on a sales order line. As a result, the remaining quantity shown in the lookup does not match the value shown on the Sales Contract page.
387862The system allows the Contract No. to be changed on a sales or purchase line after quantity has already been shipped, invoiced, received, or returned against it. As a result, the shipped/invoiced quantity can end up attributed to the wrong contract line, causing a mismatch between the quantities shown on the contract and the actual posted sales/purchase transactions.
387863When a Sales Contract is attached to a Sales Order line, the Applied Price UOM used to build the resulting price does not match the unit of measure the Applied Unit Price is actually calculated in. As a result, users have to manually correct the unit of measure on the sales order line after attaching the contract.
385534The Dutch translation of the Applied Unit Price field is inconsistent between the Sales Contract page and the Sales Order page. The Sales Contract page displays a different Dutch translation, while the Sales Order page displays "vereffende eenheidsprijs".
386284The system incorrectly rounds the Applied Unit Price field value to two decimal places on the Sales Contract Line page and the Applied Unit Cost field value on the Purchase Contract Line page when a value with more than two decimal places is entered. As a result, the Line Amount Excl. VAT is calculated based on the rounded value, producing an incorrect total.
386789The system fails to retain the Appl. Price UoM field value on the contract line when the unit of measure code is manually overwritten on the Sales Contract or Purchase Contract page.
386768The system fails to use the alternate item's description on the sales order line when an alternate item is linked to a selected sales contract .
385130An error occurs when executing the Move to New Order action on the Backorder Management page for a sales order that is linked to a sales contract, and the backorder cannot be created even though the split quantity remains within the contract quantity.
