Walkthrough: Inventory put-away

In our company, the Inventory Put-away document is used to receive items by assigning a License Plate No. and License Plate Type to each pallet.

To add new, not yet tracked, inventory we can add all tracking information using the tracking pages.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Inventory Put-away, and then choose the related link.
  2. On the action bar, select New to create a put-away document.
  3. Enter the source document details to generate the put-away lines for the items you want to assign license plates to.
  4. On the put-away page , in the License Plate No. field enter the license plate number for the line.
  5. In the License Plate Type field, choose the type, or leave it blank to apply the default license plate type automatically.
  6. On the action bar, select Split Per Put-Away UoM to split the line by unit of measure.
  7. Post the put-away to validate the license plate entries against the inbound tracking rules.
