Walkthrough: Print license plate labels for LPN Mandatory Customers
Some customers require every pallet you ship to carry a printed License Plate (SSCC) label, and expect that label at the moment of shipment, even if picking is not yet fully completed for the order. The LPN Mandatory Customer Prints setting on the Adv. Warehouse Setup page adds these customers to the Print Label(s) flow of the Warehouse Shipment, with a confirmation before printing partially picked or already printed labels.
Turn on LPN Mandatory Customer Prints
- Select the Search icon
, enter Adv. Warehouse Setup, and then choose the related link. - On the License Plate FastTab, in the Control SubFastTab, turn on the LPN Mandatory Customer Prints field.
- The LPN Mandatory Customer Prints field can only be turned on when at least one customer has a License Plate Tracking Code with a License Plate Tracking Rule for Type = Customer, Direction = Outbound, Entry Type = Negative Adjmt., and one of these combinations:
- Whse. Document Type = Shipment, Reference Document = Posted Shipment
- Whse. Document Type = blank, Reference Document = Posted Shipment
- Whse. Document Type = blank, Reference Document = Posted S. Inv. These are the outbound rules that the Add Default Rules action creates for a customer code. If no customer qualifies, turning on the field shows the error "LPN Mandatory Customer Prints cannot be enabled because no customer has a License Plate Tracking Code with an Outbound, Negative Adjmt. rule referencing Posted Shipment or Posted S. Inv."

Turning the field back off is always allowed.
Print label(s) from a Warehouse Shipment
- Select the Search icon , enter Warehouse Shipments, and then choose the related link.
- Select a Warehouse Shipment for a customer that is License Plate tracked through its License Plate Tracking Code field value.
- On the shipment header, select the Print Label(s) action.
The following confirmations can appear, only while LPN Mandatory Customer Prints is turned on:

When the shipment is fully picked and none of its labels were printed yet, all License Plate labels are printed directly, without a confirmation.
For a customer that is not License Plate tracked, or while LPN Mandatory Customer Prints is turned off, the Print Label(s) action keeps its existing behavior.
Check result
- Select the Search icon , enter License Plates, and then choose the related link.
- Select the License Plate that was printed.
On the General FastTab, the Shipment Printed field is turned on.
Reprint after the License Plate content changes
WHEN the content of an already printed License Plate changes, for example because the Qty. to Handle (Base) field value is reduced on the License Plate Reservation Entries page (see Walkthrough: Adjust quantities on a License Plate tracked shipment line)
THEN the Shipment Printed field on that License Plate is turned off again.
This way, the next time Print Label(s) is selected on the Warehouse Shipment, the changed License Plate is treated as not yet printed: it is printed directly, or included as an already-printed label to reprint when you confirm reprinting the other labels on the shipment.
