Enhancements/Modifications

With this release of the Aptean Weigh Scale extension,

  • A new integration event OnAfterCreateReservationEntryFromWeighScaleEntry has been added to the WeighScaleManagement122FDW codeunit, allowing partner extensions to subscribe and transfer custom fields from a WeighScaleEntry122FDW record to the corresponding Reservation Entry when the Transfer Weight Scale Entries function is executed during the Warehouse Receipt process.

  • The system allows you to automatically update Order Bound packaging transactions using information from transferred Weigh Scale entries during inbound and outbound processes.

  • When the Use Packaging for Receipt Weigh Scale or Use Packaging for Shipment Weigh Scale toggle is turned on on the Item Card, and the Receipt Default Weigh Scale or Shipment Default Weigh Scale field is configured on the Location Card, the system automatically updates Order Bound Shipping Containers and Shipping Units from transferred Weigh Scale entries if they are not configured as Item Bound in the Default Packaging Setup for the item. This eliminates the need to manually update packaging quantities after transferring Weigh Scale entries and helps ensure packaging transactions remain synchronized with the recorded Weigh Scale data.

  • If the Use Packaging for Receipt Weigh Scale toggle is turned off on the Item Card, or the Receipt Default Weigh Scale field is not configured on the Location Card, the system continues to calculate Order Bound packaging transactions for inbound processes using the existing Default Packaging configuration.

  • If the Use Packaging for Shipment Weigh Scale toggle is turned off on the Item Card, or the Shipment Default Weigh Scale field is not configured on the Location Card, the system continues to calculate Order Bound packaging transactions for outbound processes using the existing Default Packaging configuration.

Turn on the Use Packaging for Receipt Weigh Scale toggle on the Item Card page to automatically update Order Bound Shipping Containers and Order Bound Shipping Units from transferred Weigh Scale entries during inbound processes. This functionality requires the Receipt Default Weigh Scale field to be configured on the Location Card and the Inbound - Order Bound checkbox to be cleared on the Register Packaging Setup page.

Turn on the Use Packaging for Shipment Weigh Scale toggle on the Item Card page to automatically update Order Bound Shipping Containers and Order Bound Shipping Units from transferred Weigh Scale entries during outbound processes. This functionality is available only when the Shipment Default Weigh Scale field is configured on the Location Card and the Outbound - Order Bound checkbox is cleared on the Register Packaging Setup page.

Resolved issues

The following issues have been resolved in this release.
