Features

With the feature added in this release of the Aptean Beverage Tax Management extension, Drink-IT Edition, turn on the Process in Parallel toggle on the request page of the Insert Price Info report to run the gross/net price list batch calculation across up to 10 parallel background sessions, significantly reducing the total batch run time for large customer and item datasets.

Enhancements/Modifications

With this release of the Aptean Beverage Tax Management extension, Drink-IT Edition, the following enhancements have been made.

  • Attached charge lines on purchase orders inherit the Prepayment % field value from their parent item line when inserted by the Calculate Drink-IT Lines action. When the Prepayment % field is changed on the purchase order header and the update lines option is confirmed, the attached charge lines are updated to match their parent item line.

  • The Sales Tax Charge with 100% line discount toggle on the Reason Code card page correctly applies a 100% line discount to inserted tax charge lines for any reason code where the toggle is turned on, regardless of whether the reason code is of a free type. Previously, the toggle was only effective for reason codes configured as a free type.

  • Turn on the Currency Impacted toggle on the Tax Values page for any tax value whose formula uses a value that is already converted to the document currency by BC, such as the sales line unit price. When the toggle is turned on, the system does not apply an additional currency conversion to the tax amount on documents with a foreign currency code, ensuring the tax amount is not calculated twice.

  • The posting groups on tax attached lines on sales and purchase documents are now derived from the Gen. Bus. Posting Grp, VAT Bus. Posting Grp, Gen. Prod. Posting Grp, and VAT Prod. Posting Grp field values configured on the reason code. When these fields are blank on the reason code, the posting groups fall back to the item charge setup and the document header or item line defaults. When the VAT Special Regulation toggle is turned on in the Tax Management Setup page, the posting groups defined on the tax rule take precedence over the reason code values.

Note: The Feature Control in the Aptean Beverage Tax Management extension must be enabled for this enhancement to take effect. The Gen. Bus. Posting Grp, VAT Bus. Posting Grp, Gen. Prod. Posting Grp, and VAT Prod. Posting Grp fields on the Reason Code Card page are only visible when the Feature Control in the Aptean Beverage Foundation Management extension is also enabled. Both Feature Controls are one-way switches and cannot be disabled once enabled.

  • An integration event, OnBeforeCheckTaxRulesRequired, has been added to allow external extensions to suppress the "no Tax Rule found" error for movements they take responsibility for classifying another way. When a Tax Rule search for a Tax Code with Tax Rule Required turned on finds no matching rule, a subscriber to this event can set the request as handled so the movement is treated the same as when Tax Rule Required is turned off for that Tax Code, instead of raising an error.

UI/UX changes

The Sales Tax Charge on FREE line discount toggle on the Reason Code card page has been renamed to Sales Tax Charge with 100% line discount.

The Currency Impacted toggle has been added to the Tax Values page.

Resolved issues

The following issues have been resolved in this release.
