Enhancements/Modifications

With this release of the Aptean Packaging extension:

  • The system allows you to specify how Order Bound packaging transactions are managed for inbound and outbound processes. New settings have been added to the Register Packaging Setup page to support integration with external applications, such as Weigh Scale, License Plating, Mobile Warehouse (MWR), and SSCC.

  • The system continues to automatically create and maintain Item Bound packaging transactions, while allowing Order Bound packaging transactions to be managed by supported external applications when Packaging Calculation Method is set to Manual. This enhancement provides greater flexibility for integrating packaging transactions with external business processes while preserving the existing system behavior for Item Bound packaging.

UI/UX changes

  • The Inbound - Item Bound checkbox has been added to the Register Packaging Setup page.
  • The Inbound - Order Bound toggle has been added to the Register Packaging Setup page.
  • The Outbound - Item Bound toggle has been added to the Register Packaging Setup page.
  • The Outbound - Order Bound toggle has been added to the Register Packaging Setup page.

The current release includes Order Bound packaging integration with Weigh Scale (WSC). This integration will be extended to other Food & Beverage applications in future releases.
