Enhancements/Modifications

With this release of the Aptean Warehouse Management System extension,

  • The system introduces support for the GS1 Application Identifier 20 (AI 20) internal product variant during barcode scanning in the Aptean WMS Scanner. When two items share the same barcode reference, the system uses the Internal Product Variant field value on the Item Reference Entries page to differentiate between items based on the scanned variant value. The field accepts values from 00 to 99. This feature is only available for the pick process.

    The Internal Product Variant field is exclusively available for item references and is not applicable to other reference types. This value is also included in the default data set for label printing and in the default PostBack fields when using the Create Default PostBack Fields action in the Warehouse Pick module.

  • The AI20 (Internal Product Variant) is always used in conjunction with the GTIN. Therefore, it is recommended to print the GTIN and the internal product variant in a single barcode on the labels.
  • The Warehouse Pick module must be optimized to use the Internal Product Variant field value by selecting the Create Default Validations action. Please take a copy of the current settings before creating default validations.

The system automatically updates the License Plate Type field value on the Production Order page when you create planned or firm planned production orders from the Planning Worksheet page. The system applies the same logic in released production orders when created through the Refresh Production Order action. This ensures consistent license plate assignment, reduces manual effort, and improves accuracy in warehouse tracking.

UI/UX changes

The Internal Product Variant field has been added to the Item Reference Entries page.

Resolved issues

The following issues have been resolved in this release.
