- The system supports freight trade plans configured for use in transfer documents to post:
- Expected cost posting
- Costs to be invoiced
- Actual cost posting using general ledger accounts
- When a transfer order is posted (shipment and receipt, or direct transfer):
- The system automatically creates expected and interim general ledger entries based on the applicable freight trade plan.
- Freight costs are linked to the item ledger entry representing the transfer receipt, ensuring accurate cost attribution.
- When the related transport invoice is posted:
- The system reverses the originally posted general ledger entries using the original general ledger accounts, regardless of any later trade plan changes.
- A new actual cost general ledger entry is posted using the general ledger account defined on the transfer invoice line.
- All general ledger postings are consistently linked to transfer receipts and trade plans through existing trade accrual and general ledger entry extension records.
- The posting logic is identical whether freight costs originate from:
- Transfer document freight trade plans, or
- Transport orders created through transport planning.
