Graphical scheduler

Production Scheduling  •  Article  •  2/2/2026  •

The Graphical Scheduler page provides a Gantt-based view of production operations so you can plan and adjust schedules faster and with better control. It helps you identify overlaps, capacity pressure, downtime/absence impact, and material shortages, while supporting draft-based what-if planning so changes can be reviewed and published safely.

The graphical scheduler requires a valid View Code and Draft Code field values to open, and it uses Personalization to store default filters and time scale settings. These setup steps ensure the scheduler opens with the correct configuration and loads the expected operations.

To open and configure the Graphical Scheduler page, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Graphical Scheduler, and then choose the related link.

The Graphical Scheduler request page opens.

  2. Enter the required information in the following fields.

    FieldDescription
ImplementationSelect the required option. This controls whether the schedule is grouped by production order or by work center.
Start DateEnter the starting date window for the schedule.
End DateEnter the ending date window. Operations are displayed up to this date.
Draft CodeEnter or select the draft code used for storing pending changes. If this field is left blank, you must create a draft code before opening the scheduler, as the system does not allow the Graphical Scheduler to open without a draft context. For more information, see Work with drafts (load, publish, delete).
View CodeSelect the view definition to apply from graphical scheduler view. The selected view controls how the scheduler is displayed. If this field is left blank, the Graphical Scheduler page cannot be opened. For more information, see Set up graphical scheduler view.
Time Scale LevelSelect the required timeline scale. This controls the default zoom level when the scheduler opens.
Production Status FilterSelect the production order statuses to include. This controls which production orders and operations are loaded into the scheduler.
Work Center No. FilterEnter the work centers to include. Only operations for the selected work centers are loaded.
Machine Center No. FilterEnter the machine centers to include. Only operations for the selected machine centers are loaded.
  3. Choose OK
The Graphical Scheduler page opens and loads tasks in the Gantt chart.

All the required fields must be populated before opening the Graphical Scheduler page. If mandatory fields such as Draft Code or View Code are left blank, the scheduler cannot be opened.

To adjust filters, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Graphical Scheduler page.
  2. On the action bar, select Adjust Filters.
The scheduler closes and the Graphical Scheduler request page opens.
  3. Update the required fields (for example Implementation, Start Date, End Date, Draft Code, View Code, Time Scale Level, and filter fields).
These values control which tasks are loaded and how they are displayed.
  4. Select OK.
The Graphical Scheduler page opens again and reloads tasks in the Gantt chart using the updated filters.
