Integration with Aptean Process Manufacturing

The Aptean Production Order Linkage extension is used in conjunction with with the Aptean Process Manufacturing extension to support batch split operations. When upstream batches are split using process manufacturing functionality, the system automatically updates production order links to reference the new batch orders, maintaining allocation relationships and ensuring downstream links remain accurate after batch division.

When you accept a split plan on the Production Split Worksheet page for a production order that has links, the links are maintained as follows.

• The links of the production order line that is split are copied to every production order line and production order that the split creates, for both the Line and the Order split method.
• The allocated quantity of the original link is distributed over the split result in proportion to the quantity of each production order line of that result, so that the total allocated quantity towards the linked order does not change. The last line of the split result takes the rounding difference.
• If the split plan consumes the complete quantity of the production order line, the split removes the production order line, or the production order, that it splits. The links of that line are moved to the production orders that the split creates, and the Link Deletion Policy on the Production Order Linking Setup page does not apply to that step of the split.
• The linked orders on the other side of the link are not changed by the split, because the split does not change the total quantity that is supplied or consumed.

If a link cannot be maintained, for example because the linked component is not present on a production order line that the split created, the split is still completed and a warning is written to the telemetry of the extension.
