Accept production order link suggestions

The system automatically generates link suggestions for make-to-order production orders within the configured Link Suggestions Date Window field value.

Link suggestions are automatically generated when:

  • A production order is created or released.
  • The production order has the Manufacturing Policy field value as Make-to-Order.
  • The item has the Auto Link Suggestion toggle turned on.
  • Potential upstream/downstream orders exist within the link suggestions date window.

The system generates FIFO-based suggestions, prioritizing the oldest upstream supply to satisfy downstream demand first.

To accept link suggestions, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Link Suggestions, and then choose the related link.

    The Link Suggestions page opens.

  2. Enter the required information in the following fields:

    Entry No.Specifies the unique identifier for the link suggestion.
    Upstream Production Order No.Specifies the suggested upstream production order.
    Upstream Line No.Specifies the suggested upstream production order line.
    Upstream Item No.Specifies the item produced by the suggested upstream order.
    Downstream Production Order No.Specifies the suggested downstream production order.
    Downstream Line No.Specifies the suggested downstream production order line.
    Downstream Component Line No.Specifies the suggested downstream component line.
    Downstream Item No.Specifies the item consumed by the suggested downstream order.
    Suggested Allocated QuantitySpecifies the suggested quantity to allocate.
    Suggested Allocated Ratio %Specifies the suggested allocation ratio percentage.
    Suggestion Date-TimeSpecifies when the suggestion was generated.

  3. Select the suggestion(s) you want to accept.

  4. On the action bar, select Accept Suggestion.
    A confirmation message appears.
    The accepted suggestions are removed from the Link Suggestions page and new links appear on the Production Order Links page.
