You can create manual production order links to connect upstream production order outputs to downstream component demands, establishing explicit relationships with configurable allocated quantities and ratios across one-to-many and many-to-one scenarios. You can accept automated link suggestions generated by the system for make-to-order production orders, reducing manual tracking effort through FIFO-based matching within configurable date windows with automatic suggestion regeneration. Production order links are automatically updated when the Aptean Process Manufacturing extension batching split functionality creates multiple order lines or new orders per batch, ensuring linkage relationships are maintained across batch divisions. The MRP/MPS planning suggestions in the planning worksheet recognize existing production order links, adjust linked dates/quantities instead of creating new supply, and prevent multi-level cascades beyond single-hop policy.
