Set up R&D groups

R&D groups provide controlled access to formulations within specific research and development teams. Use R&D groups to organize users into teams and control formulation visibility when using group visibility settings.

To create R&D groups, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Search icon , enter R&D groups, and then choose the related link.

    The R&D groups page opens, displaying a list of existing groups.
  2. On the action bar, select New to create a new R&D group or select an existing Code field value to open an existing group.

    The R&D Group Card page opens.
  3. Enter the required information for the following fields:

    FieldDescription
    CodeEnter a unique code to identify the R&D group. This code will be used when assigning group ownership to formulations with group visibility. The code cannot be blank and must be unique across all R&D groups.
    DescriptionEnter a descriptive name for the R&D group. This helps users identify the purpose or focus area of the group, such as beverage development team or nutritional products R&D.

To manage group membership, follow this step:

  1. On the Users FastTab, enter the required information for the following fields:

    FieldDescription
    User IDSelect the unique identification of the team member to add to the R&D group. The system validates that the user exists and is active in the system.
    User NameSpecifies the full name of the selected user.
