Introduction

The Aptean Formulation Management (PFM) extension enables process manufacturers to create, control, and manage formulations directly in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to ensure product consistency, regulatory compliance, and repeatable manufacturing results.
With this extension, you can define formulations using standard items and item attributes, calculate ingredient properties, and manage multiple versions through controlled revision and approval workflows. Approved formulations can be converted into production BOMs and routings, allowing seamless transition from formulation design to manufacturing execution.
