Create and track follow-up actions

To create follow-up actions for a non-conformance, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Non-Conformances page.
  2. Select the non-conformance record for which you want to create follow-up actions.
  3. Select Create NC Follow Up Actions on the action bar.
    The NC Follow Up Actions page opens.
  4. Select New to add a new action line.
  5. Enter the required information in the following fields:

    FieldDescription
    NC Source TypeSpecifies the source type of the action.
    NC No.Specifies the non-conformance number.
    NC ActionSpecifies the name or reference number of the action that should be taken when following up on the non-conformance.
    NC Action TypeSpecifies the type of action that should be taken when following up on the non-conformance. The available options are: Corrective: Actions that address the immediate problem and Preventive: Actions that prevent similar problems from occurring
    NC Action DescriptionSpecifies the description of the action that should be taken when following up on the non-conformance.
    ResponsibleSpecifies the person responsible for carrying out the non-conformance action.
    DeadlineSpecifies the deadline for carrying out the non-conformance action.
    StatusSpecifies the status of the non-conformance. Actions are initially created with status New, but can be manually changed to In Progress or Closed. In case, teams synchronization is set up on the Non-Conformance Setup page, the status Synchronized with Teams is assigned automatically.
    Return RequiredSpecifies if following up on the non-conformance should involve creating a sales return order.
    Credit Memo RequiredSpecifies if following up on the non-conformance should involve a credit memo.
