Set up lot attribute sorting templates
When a pooling settlement uses Pool by Lot Attributes, you can configure the order in which pooling lines settle and appear, instead of always following a fixed line order. A lot attribute sorting template lets you place, for example, larger lots before smaller ones based on a size lot attribute.
You can only use lot attributes that are defined as global lot attributes. For more information, see Global Lot Attributes.
Create a lot attribute sorting template
Select the Search icon 
, enter Lot Attribute Sorting Templates, choose the related link, and select New to create a lot attribute sorting template.
Enter the required information in the following fields:

| Code | Specifies the code to identify the lot attribute sorting template. |
| Description | Specifies the description of the lot attribute sorting template. |
| Sorting Priority Global Lot Attribute 1-8 | Specifies the sorting priority for the global lot attribute in that slot. A value of 0 means the attribute is considered after all attributes with a specified priority. Only the global lot attributes enabled in Advanced Attribute Setup are shown, and the field caption automatically shows the actual global lot attribute name, for example Sorting Priority Variety. |
| Sorting Order Global Lot Attribute 1-8 | Specifies a simplified Ascending or Descending sorting order for the global lot attribute in that slot, based on the alphabetical (ABC) order of the attribute's values, rather than a hand-picked value sequence. The field caption automatically shows the actual global lot attribute name. This field becomes read-only once lines exist on the Lines FastTab. |

The Sorting Priorities and Sorting Orders FastTabs, and the Lines FastTab, offer two mutually exclusive ways to define the sort order: either set a sorting priority and order per global lot attribute, or add explicit-sequence lines.
A line cannot be added on the Lines FastTab while a sorting priority is set on the template header. Changing a sorting priority when lines already exist deletes all existing lines, after confirmation.
Link a sorting template to a pooling lot aggregation template
1. Open the relevant pooling lot aggregation template. For more information, see Set up pooling lot aggregation templates.
2. In the Lot Attr. Sorting Template Code field, select the lot attribute sorting template to apply.
3. Close the page.
Settlements calculated using this pooling lot aggregation template settle and display pooling lines in the configured order. Combinations of global lot attribute values not covered by an explicit-sequence template are placed at the bottom of the settlement.
