Manage dynamic comments

You can view, modify, and remove dynamic comments to manage comment content flexibly across your documents.

To set up a dynamic comment, follow these steps:
1. Select the Search icon , enter Dynamic Comment, and then choose the related link.
The Dynamic Comment page opens.
2. Enter the required information in the following fields:

<tr><td>Table No.</td><td>Select the table where the comment should be populated. For example, if *Sales Header* is selected, the comments are populated across all related sales order documents.</td></tr>
<tr><td>Comment Code</td><td>Select the comment code.</td></tr>
<tr><td>Source No.</td><td>Select the source document to which the comment should be linked.</td></tr>
<tr><td>Comment Text</td><td>Enter the comment. If the **Is Rich Text** checkbox on the **Dynamic Comment** page is selected, you can use rich text formatting.</td></tr>
<tr><td>Description</td><td>Enter the comment description.</td></tr>
<tr><td>Critical</td><td>Select this checkbox to highlight the **Comments** field value in red on the source document.</td></tr>
<tr><td>Closed</td><td>Select this checkbox to mark the comment as closed. The system excludes closed comments from the comment count on source documents.</td></tr>
<tr><td>Is Rich Text</td><td>Select this checkbox to use rich text formatting in the comment.</td></tr>

All configured comments are visible for review or editing.  
  1. Select any of the following actions as required.

    ActionDescription
    Show DocumentSelect a value in the Table No. field and then execute this action to view the associated page.
    DeleteSelect one or more comment lines and then execute this action to delete the lines.
    Show/Hide ClosedExecute this action to hide closed comments on the Dynamic Comment page. You can execute this action to show the hidden closed comments.
    New commentAdds a new comment directly to the document.
    Delete CommentDeletes an existing comment in the related document.
