With the features added in this release of the Aptean Customer Item Catalog extension,

You can select the Alert Type field value on the Customer Item Catalog Setup page to define whether the system displays a notification (default) or an error when validating the Item, Variant Code, and Unit of Measure Code field values combination against the sales item catalog during sales line entry.
For notification, the full combination is validated, and a notification is shown on the Sales Order, Sales Invoice, Sales Quote, and Blanket Sales Order pages if not found, however, you can proceed. For error, validation occurs as each field is entered; invalid combinations prevent further processing.

You can view the Variant Description field in the Item Catalog Lines table by adding it through personalization. The system then validates the Description field in the sales line against the Variant Description field value when a Variant Code field value is specified, preventing validation failures caused by automatic description updates.
- You can execute the Sales Item Catalog action on the Sales Invoice page to ensure consistent access to the notification or error validation logic across relevant sales documents.
UI/UX changes
The following UI/UX changes have been made in this release.
- The Alert Type field has been added to the Customer Item Catalog Setup page.
- The Variant Description field has been added to the Item Catalog Lines table (available via Personalization).
- The Sales Item Catalog action has been added to the Sales Invoice page.
