Use transfer order with catch weight items for selected Location

You can now transfer the Catch Weight items to the defined locations, where the items are handled and stored before being sold.

1. On the Transfer Order page, on the General FastTab, in the Transfer-from Code field, select the required code from the drop-down menu.
2. In the Transfer-to Code field, select the required code from the drop-down menu.
3. Turn on the Direct Transfer toggle if you do not want to use an in-transit location.
4. You can control the use of the catch weight item in the transfer order line if the relevant warehouse location is set up as follows:
   • The Require Receive, Require Shipment, Require Put-away, Require Pick, and Directed Put-away and Pick toggles are turned off.
   • All these toggles are turned on, except the Directed Put-away and Pick toggle.

You can use the Catch Weight item only for the selected location setups on the Transfer Order page.

To correct small quantity weight differences

When posting a consumption journal for a catch weight item costed by weight, if the available weight quantity is insufficient, the system displays a confirmation message on the Transfer Order page. The message indicates that the available weight for the selected item, lot, license plate, or location is less than the weight quantity to be handled.

The confirmation message lists the affected combinations and allows the required weight correction to be posted before posting the transfer order.

To post the catch weight correction, follow the steps:

1. On the confirmation message, select Create Catch Weight Correction.
   The Catch Weight Correction Worksheet page opens.
2. Select the Post checkbox on the required lines and post the correction.

After posting the correction, the system:

• Creates item weight ledger entries and corresponding value entries for the corrected weight.
• Updates the Quantity (KG) and the Weight Open checkbox on the related item ledger entries.
