Post warehouse shipment lines

When the warehouse shipment with the catch weight item is posted, the following activities are performed.

  • The weight quantities in the item tracking, document weight, warehouse shipment, sales (partial shipment), and posted sales shipment lines are updated.
  • An item ledger entry, item weight ledger entry, and posted document weight lines for the posted sales shipment are created.

  • Select the Search icon , enter Warehouse Shipments, and then choose the related link.
    The Warehouse Shipments list page opens.

  • Select the required No. to open the Warehouse Shipment page.
  • On the action bar, select Actions > Posting > Post Shipment.
  • Select Ship.
  • Click OK to post a Warehouse Shipment line.

To correct small quantity weight differences

When posting a warehouse shipment for a catch weight item costed by weight, if the available weight quantity is insufficient, the system displays a confirmation message on the Warehouse Shipments page. The message indicates that the available weight for the selected item, lot, license plate, or location is less than the weight quantity to be handled.

The confirmation message lists the affected combinations and allows the required weight correction to be posted before posting the warehouse shipment.

To post the catch weight correction, follow the steps:

  1. On the confirmation message, select Create Catch Weight Correction.
    The Catch Weight Correction Worksheet page opens.
  2. Select the Post checkbox on the required lines and post the correction.

After posting the correction, the system:

  • Creates item weight ledger entries and corresponding value entries for the corrected weight.
  • Updates the Quantity (KG) and the Weight Open checkbox on the related item ledger entries.

For mobile warehouse and shop floor production posting, the system displays a standard error message.
