Enhancements/Modifications
With this release of the Aptean Beverage Advanced Warehouse Management extension, Drink-IT Edition, you can create picks by specifying a destination excise type per process order in the warehouse template. When the Create Pick by field value on the Warehouse Templates page is set to Excise Combined, the system evaluates available inventory across Tax Paid and Bonded bins and creates the correct take and place pick lines according to the destination excise type, enabling unified picking from mixed excise inventory in a single pick per warehouse template.
Notes on calculating the excise type on Warehouse Shipment lines
The tax calculation is currently available for two excise states: Bonded and Tax Paid.
Location setup required:
- Excise Type field: Mixed
- Outbound excise type fields (Sales Excise Type, Transfer Excise Type, Purchase Excise Type): Bonded
- Create Pick According To Excise Type Of Destination toggle: enabled
Warehouse Template setup required (one of the following):
- The Create Pick By field is set to Excise Combined, and at least one process order has the Destination Excise Type field set to Tax Paid.
- The Create Pick By field is set to Destination, and at least one Destination Excise Type in the selected warehouse templates is set to Tax Paid.
Tax Paid inventory considered:
- Available inventory in bins with a bin group used within the warehouse template(s) of the selected warehouse template group and warehouse template in the Create Pick dialog.
- Minus inventory already allocated in current warehouse shipment lines.
Notes on creating picks in Excise Combined mode
- Setup: The bins to pick from are defined in the process order with the excise types.
- Process: The first bin in the bin groups determined in the process order that has the required available inventory is added to the pick line. When the bin does not have sufficient available inventory, the line is split into a second line — or more — with the remaining quantity, until the warehouse shipment quantity is fulfilled or no inventory remains available.
- Important: Because the excise type calculation on the warehouse shipment lines takes into account all different bin groups used in the process order of the selected warehouse template group and warehouse template in the Create Pick dialog, it is highly recommended to use the same bin groups in all different warehouse template process orders for the same Equivalent Unit of Measure. It is also highly recommended, when using an Equivalent Unit of Measure, to only have inventory of these items in those bin groups.

Resolved issues
The following issue has been resolved in this release.
| ID | Description |
|---|---|
| 375796,375480 | The system fails to update the Picking Group field value on bin content records when the Bin Excise Type field on a bin changes via the Warehouse Reclassification Journal page. Additionally, a data upgrade corrects existing bin content records where the Picking Group field was out of sync with the parent bin. |
