Show standard comments in transport orders

You can view standard comments on transport orders when they are inherited from the source document. These comments are displayed only when the relevant checkboxes are selected on the Standard Comments page.

  1. Open the Standard Comments page.
  2. Verify that the required checkboxes are selected to show comments on transport-related documents, such as:

    • Show in Transport Order
    • Print on Transfer Order

    For more information on standard comments, see Set up standard comments.

  3. Open an existing transport order or create a new one.
    When the transport order is created, the system inherits the standard comments based on the setup.
  4. On the Transport Order page, select the value in either the Transport Sales Comments or Transport Purchase Comments field based on your requirement.

    The field value indicates the number of comments linked to the source document, for example, 2.

    The Sales Comments View or Purchase Comments View page opens and displays the inherited standard comments from the related sales or purchase document.

When a transport order is created, certain values and comments from the related source documents are retrieved and made available on the Transport Order page and its reports.

  • County information: The values in the Pick-up County and Ship-to County fields are transferred from the Sales Order page to the Transport Order page. These values are also printed in the Transport Order report.
  • Purchase comments: Standard purchase comments are copied from the Purchase Order page to the Transport Order page. These comments are included when the Transport Order report is generated.
  • Sales comments: Standard sales comments are copied from the Sales Order page to the Transport Order page. These comments are also printed in the Transport Order report.
